Recognised as one of the UK’s finest University orchestras, Imperial College Symphony Orchestra makes a welcome return to Cadogan Hall – the venue where it was crowned ‘Orchestra of the Year’ in the first ever Symphuni competition in 2008.
For this visit to Cadogan Hall the orchestra brings Mahler’s epic Second Symphony – a work that explores the depths of human emotion and ends with a powerful hymn to transcendent renewal. The orchestra is joined by the choirs of Imperial College and the Thomas Hardye School and by rising young stars Runette Botha (soprano) and Kate Symonds-Joy (mezzo).
