WEMBA China Study Tour

The Imperial College 2008 study tour to China will focus on the outlook for China with its burgeoning economy, the impact its growth will have on business and the ways in which companies, large and small, have made the most out of the huge market potential it has to offer. The themes that will be the focus of the tour will include legal and intellectual property (IP) protection, the financial landscape of the Chinese economy, market entry and expansion potential for Western companies and sustainable development and environmental policy for developing economies.

Our WEMBA students will spend 8 days in Shanghai and Beijing for firm visits, workshops and tours. The study tour will provide plenty of opportunity for networking with Imperial College alumni, representatives from local industry and of course MBA students taking part in this tour.

Professor Dot Griffiths, Deputy Principal of the Business School, will meet our alumni in Beijing on Monday 15 September 2008 and Shanghai on Thursday 18 September 2008. Professor Griffiths, Deputy Principal of Imperial College Business School and Imperial Ambassador, will preside over the events and give a presentation on College updates and alumni news.
