We welcome alumni and partners to the end of year or Christmas function, held at a local Asian restaurant. The restaurant has agreed to open specially for us, as on this day it is usually closed; we have found that if we can get a restaurant to ourselves we have a bit more freedom to talk etc. Please do get in touch with me if you would like to attend.
With Imperial’s Centenary next year, I also give you advance notice of a dinner we are planning for 27 April 2007. Our Guest of Honour will be the Rector Sir Richard Sykes , who will be here on this the 100th Anniversary of Imperial College. The planned venue will be the Weld Club and the cost $80 per head including drinks (based on at least 45 attending). To ensure this is a starter would you please reply to this email stating your intention to come so we can confirm the arrangements we will not hold you to this intention recognising that we all have travel plans that could impact on your intentions, I just need to get the venue and date locked in. Negotiations with London on this have been going on for some months now. More details later. Your savings on the December dinner can be spent on the April Dinner.
