DynamicsDays – XL

DynamicsDays2021Dynamics Days Europe is a series of major international conferences founded in the 1980’s that provides a European forum for developments in the applications of and theory for dynamics. For over fourty years (!), it has been bringing together researchers from a wide range of backgrounds including physics, biology, engineering and mathematics for interdisciplinary research in nonlinear science.

When and where:

We are pleased to announce the Dynamics Days Europe 2021 conference, which will take place online and to some extent in Nice, from the 23rd to the 27th of August 2021

The program is online:

Please find here the dynamicsdays 2021 program and its complement the dynamicsdays booklet of abstracts (updated 22nd july).

During this event Dr Oana Lang will give a presentation on “Existence and uniqueness of solutions for stochastic shallow water models driven by transport noise”.

In this talk she will describe the analytical properties of two stochastic rotating shallow water models. One of these models is derived using the Location Uncertainty approach (Mémin, 2014) and the other one is derived using the Stochastic Advection by Lie Transport method (Holm, 2015). Both systems are designed for turbulent compressible fluids and are driven by transport noise. Our methodology is based on approximating sequences of solutions with suitable convergence properties, and can be extended to more general systems of SPDEs.
