There are increasing calls that academic research should have impact, engage the public, inspire additional projects, and, ultimately, be useful. This is true in the case of history, one of the oldest, most enduring and most adaptable scholarly specialisms in the world.
Led by Dr Michael Weatherburn, this seminar will draw on the past five years of Project Hindsight, a research and education initiative explicitly designed to make historical evidence and experience useful to decision-makers.
The talk will address completed projects, insights developed and future activities under development. Project Hindsight’s resultant concepts of memory decay, organizational resilience and critical futures will be examined. Through this lively and interactive session, we will also draw on the audience’s distinctive experiences in addressing real-world problems and providing potential solutions.
This CLCC Research Seminar will be delivered both in-person and online. Please register using the eventbrite link (below/left) to confirm your place either watching online or attending at the Centre.
