A perspective projection of a dodecahedral tessellation in H3. Four dodecahedra meet at each edge, and eight meet at each vertex, like the cubes of a cubic tessellation in E3.

Title: Gauss Manin Connection, p-adic Differential Equations and families of Elliptic Curves

Speaker: Zerui Tan

Abstract: In this talk, we’ll unravel the origins of the Gauss Manin connection associated to families of curves/objects, and use it to study families of integrals. Together with technical lemmas on p-adic differential equations, we obtain interesting arithmetic applications on examples of families of elliptic curves.

Some snacks will be provided before and after the talk.
