The Global Symposium at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences, University of Queensland, will be represented by the Microplastics from the Environmental Research Group. We are delighted to announce the following will speak at the 4 day Symposium:
- Associate Professor Stephanie Wright – will speak on ‘The impacts of microplastics and indoor microplastic-aerosol mixtures on THP1 macrophage immunometabolism’
- Dr Alexandra Richardson – will speak on ‘ Analytical method development, optimisation, and evaluation for the detection and quantification of plastic oligomers in human blood’
- Dr Alena Vdovchenko – will speak on ‘Development and validation of a Raman microspectroscopy workflow for the detection of micro- and nanoplastics in human blood’
- Julia Laskowska – will speak on Mechanistic studies of inhaled microplastics in the human lung in vitro’
- Dr Eric Auyang – wil speak on ‘Fabrication of Micro/Nanoplastic particles and fibres for the in Vitro Alveolar Exposure Studies’
