Join Us for International Women’s Day 2026 – Inspiring Talks & Community Connection

You’re warmly invited to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 on 2 March, from 14:00 – 16:00 at the Molecular Sciences Research Hub in White City. This uplifting event brings together powerful speakers who will share personal stories, professional insights, and perspectives on wellbeing, inclusion, and equity,

The afternoon will open with refreshments, followed by a welcome from Professor Oscar Ces, Head of the Department of Chemistry.

Our first speaker, Ms Tracy Page from the Gordon Moody Charity, will discuss her journey from social gambling to addiction and recovery, offering a moving and hopeful narrative about resilience.

Next, Professor Bob Klaber OBE will explore the impact of kindness in healthcare, highlighting how compassionate practice can improve experiences on both individual and global scales.Dr Neepa Thacker will then delve into women’s mental health, focusing on the hidden links between addiction and invisible disabilities.

The programme continues with Ms Kalpna Mistry, who will address disability in academia and the importance of understanding intersectionality and cultural expectations. The event closes with reflections from Dr David Ayuso, followed by a networking reception with food and drinks.
