Across the UK, hundreds of thousands of young people are waiting for mental health treatment. For many, the waiting period can feel uncertain, isolating, and overwhelming.
We’re hosting a public engagement event to celebrate Torchlight — a co-designed digital intervention developed with young people and professionals to offer structured social connection and personalised guidance while young people wait for care.
At the event, we’ll:
• Share how Torchlight was developed through co-design
• Demonstrate the app
• Hear from young people involved in shaping it
• Open up dialogue about how we better support young people during the waiting period
• Create space for networking and connection across sectors
This event has been co-designed and will be co-facilitated with young people. It’s an opportunity to connect with clinicians, university staff, researchers, community organisations, students, and others working in youth mental health.
