Abstract:

The use of digital channels for control systems has led, among others, to the problem to determine minimal data rates needed for performing control tasks like stabilization or invariance. This poses new mathematical challenges. The notion of invariance pressure generalizes invariance entropy by adding a potential on the control range and gives further insight into the problem to make a subset of the state space invariant. This talk is based on joint work with Joao Cossich and Alexandre Santana.
