This exhibition is in the Gallery of the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication, Sherfield 3, Imperial College London, 10am-5pm Monday to Friday only, from November 1st till December 12th 2019.

Multi-media works by several different artists explore the experience of Sickle Cell Disease, a condition which millions of people suffer from and which is still largely not understood by much of the population. Pain, fatigue, even death can result from the genetically transmitted disease and yet so many suffer without the comfort of empathy.

To mark the opening of the exhibition, the Centre is holding a seminar on Thursday 2:15-3:15pm in Room 303A when Dr Frederic Piel and Mr John James OBE of the Sickle Cell Society will speak about different aspects of the disease. All are welcome to attend.

All are welcome.
