The UK Acoustics Network (UKAN) Early Careers Special Interest Group (SIG-ECG) is running this event for UKAN’s early career researchers on building effective academic-industrial partnerships in Acoustics. Industry partners will include Precision Acoustics and the John Cotton Group.

The event is open to early career members and industry partners in any area of Acoustics. The keynote address will be given by Professor Barry Gibbs, President of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) and coordinator of the Vibro-Acoustics Special Interest Group (SIG-VA). Professor Richard Craster, Professor of Applied Mathematics at Imperial College, will open the event. The second meeting of SIG-VA will be held as a satellite event on the afternoon of the 9th April.

The event is aimed at early career UKAN members who want to undertake research in collaboration with industry and civil service partners. It will provide a forum where attendees can share their research and career ambitions and build working relationships with industry early in their careers.

A limited number of tickets will be made available on a first come basis.
