21:25-22:05 Imagining the Earth: Turning the Tide

The ocean is the heart of the planet: it’s a vital source of food and oxygen, as well as climate regulator. Keeping our oceans healthy is crucial in helping us to avoid the worst of climate change damage. Each year, however, millions of pounds of plastic are dumped into the ocean, which, once broken down can cause drastic changes to the environment. What solutions exist to prevent plastics from being thrown away? How can we turn the recycling crisis into an opportunity?

Chaired by Patricia Jolly, Senior Reporter, Le Monde
