Professor Francisco Veloso, Dean of Imperial College Business School, is looking forward to meeting alumni and friends at a reception in Mumbai this December. Dean Veloso will also be joined by Professor David Gann CBE, Vice President (Innovation) of Imperial College.  Join them to hear about what’s new at Imperial, make new connections in your neighbourhood and catch-up with old friends or classmates.

Meet the speakers – Professor Francisco Veloso

Professor Veloso recently joined Imperial from the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, Portugal’s leading business school, where he served as Dean since 2012. Professor Veloso is a leading authority in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, whose research has focussed on how firms and regions develop and leverage science and technology for economic growth.

His work has included studies into the development of Silicon Valley and into the innovation and scientific impact of developing nations.

Meet the speakers – Professor David Gann CBE

David Gann CBE CEng FICE FCGI is Imperial College’s Vice President, leading Innovation.

David is an academic, university leader, strategist and advocate, renowned for his work on innovation, entrepreneurship and technology management. His research spans strategy, management science and systems engineering. His distinctive strength is in building relationships proactively and internationally, to connect ideas, research and solutions with substantial funding between academia, business and government.

He has played a central role in developing the vision, strategy and innovation agenda for Imperial College’s 25-acre White City Campus and the development of new ventures such as Imperial College ThinkSpace, increasing and diversifying the College’s income.
