Join fellow alumni to learn about taking control of your career. In this talk John Lees, author of the best-selling How To Get A Job You Love offers a masterclass in managing your career.
Even smart graduates sometimes make the mistake of believing that job searching is as uncomplicated as opening an online account. In today’s uncertain economy, job openings are often below the radar. Looking for a new role requires strategic communication skills mixing social media, direct approaches, and advanced relationship building. Job hunting may seem as straightforward as updating your LinkedIn profile, but in practice it can feel like you’re using the skills candidates use to get elected – gaining key information, influencing, getting noticed, recruiting ambassadors and champions.
Building on John’s extensive experience of the way people find exciting jobs, this interactive workshop shows you how to make the most of your strengths in a difficult employment market.
