A lot of waste wind turbine blades are being landfilled

We recycle waste fibreglass composites, such as those from the decommissioned wind turbine blades

A diagram showing a recycling process of waste wind turbine blades. At the end life of turbine blades, they are processed into powders. After chemical and mechanical treatments, these powder can be used for mixing concrete that can be used in the foundation of wind turbine structure. In this way, a circularity of the material is achieved. This recycling method can be used for other industries.

Figure shows the supply chain of hydrogen, from hydrogen production with renewable energy to transportation through pipelines, then to end users.

We achieve green hydrogen storage and transportation

Figure shows offshore floating platform with solar panels. It aims to show that this floating platform can be made from composite materials.

We develop new material solutions for floating solar

Figure shows that the materials are subjected to complex environmental conditions so they can degrade with time. However, this degradation is hard to describe. For this issue, machine learning can be used to learn from existing material database, and finally a digital tool called

We leverage AI to understand material properties

Figure shows a coordinate system with x represents dimension scale from nanometer to milimeter, y axis represents time scale from nanosecond to millisecond. It shows numerical modelling can cross both scales to simulate material behaviours.

We develop multiscale modelling capability for material characterization crossing molecular to meter scales
