Speech analysis goes far beyond the recognition of the spoken content. In Computational Paralinguistics, speech is analyzed to richly describe the states and traits of a speaker. This includes recognition of speaker emotions, but also health state or characteristics such as the personality, height, age, or simply gender and ID.
