Governance


Management Board
Provides strategic leadership, oversees programme delivery and performs risk management. 

Admissions Panel
Ensures fair and inclusive recruitment, maximising the visibility of the DFA to potential applications across UK universities and industry, coordinates recruitment and advertising with other UK DFAs, CDTs and centres.

Research Board
Led by the senior Research Theme leads, coordinates project development with industry partners. Oversees curation of the research programme by the theme leads and project allocation between industry and institutional partners. Connects the programme with UK centres of excellence, supporting collaboration, placements, and sector alignment.

Training Board
Coordinates academic content and quality assurance & interacts with local bodies regarding teaching load allocation.

Strategic Advisory Board
Provides independent external oversight, strategic guidance and periodic formal reviews.

EDI & Pastoral Board
Develops metrics and monitors progress in EDI and advocates for diversity in recruitment. Develops the cohort social programme and ensures its inclusivity. Connects to university pastoral and disability support and advice services, advocates and build support for individuals especially around issues of mental health, anxiety and depression, learning disabilities and differences in cognition. Interfaces with university support around conduct issues; helps to develop best practice and leads on these aspects of the training programme.
