Changhyun Kim is a PhD student in the Personal Robotics Lab at Imperial College London. His research focuses on enabling robots to understand human activities and interact intelligently in dynamic environments. He is particularly interested in robot perception, spatio-temporal reasoning, and knowledge representation that allow robots to interpret human behaviour and adapt to dynamic situations.

Before starting his PhD, he worked as a Data Analyst and AI Developer at Samsung SDI. His work involved analysing production data from battery assembly lines and managing data pipelines from design to assembly.

He obtained his MSc in Computing from Imperial College London, where his thesis focused on computer vision and anomaly detection using optical flow and object identification models.
