Camilla joined Imperial College in June 2016. In 2011 she graduated from the University of Bristol with a first class BSc degree in Environmental Geoscience followed by a PhD in 2015.

Her PhD thesis was entitled ‘In-situ and time resolved observation of uranium corrosion applied to nuclear waste storage and disposal’. Her current research is focused on the corrosion of stainless steels and applied electrochemistry.

Specifically she is developing in-situ synchrotron experiments, complemented with XPS and TEM studies at Imperial, to examine the passivation layer structure and chemistry on steels and FeCr alloys. She is also a post-doctoral representative in the Department of Materials and a member of the Athena Swan committee.
