Our mission
Our mission is to to accelerate the adoption and diffusion of high-impact AI across critical sectors.
What we do
We aim to achieve this mission through a range of activities, including policy labs, thought leadership, and convening.
Through these activities, in particular our policy labs, CADI aims to bridge gaps so that:
- Applications that generate transformative commercial products and services can be tested, brought to market and scaled;
- Approaches and use cases developed in one discipline or sub-sector can be piloted in others, building on Imperial’s pioneering work in Convergence Science;
- Innovations with potential public interest benefits can be supported and developed;
- New productive models of collaboration between public, private and academic organisations can be trialled;
- Policymakers can quickly gain a more granular sense of the current and near-future potential of AI;
- AI deployments generate evidence and insights to help better understand and tackle barriers to AI diffusion.
