My six-month stay at Imperial College London, supported by the ICL–CNRS Fellowship, was a fantastic experience, both personally and professionally. The Fellowship provided a valuable opportunity to work closely with my host, Pierre Germain, and to devote time to our joint research.

During the visit, we wrote an article with Hui Zhu exploring how the mass of eigenfunctions of the Laplacian on tori is distributed over small regions, with connections to quantum limits and control theory. This result would probably not have been possible without the support of the ICL–CNRS Fellowship. Being at Imperial allowed us to discuss these questions in person and develop the project together. I also had the opportunity to give lectures on kinetic theory to a wonderful audience, with whom I enjoyed discussions ranging from PDEs to English poetry.

Beyond my collaboration with Pierre, I particularly appreciated the warm welcome from the Applied Analysis group, especially Michele Coti-Zelati and Angeliki Menegaki. The stimulating research environment and the many interactions with colleagues made my six months at Imperial particularly rewarding.

When the time came to leave, it was hard to say goodbye. I look back on my time at Imperial with gratitude, both for the research collaboration and for the people who made the visit so enjoyable.
