The Artist’s Toolkit: Botanical Drawing and Painting
This summer, the course turns to the beautiful and absorbing world of botanical art. We will explore the techniques, materials, and visual traditions used by artists and scientific illustrators to study plants and flowers, while discovering how botanical imagery has appeared across different artistic cultures.
Through guided exercises and practical demonstrations, you will:

-
Develop confidence in representing natural forms
-
Expand your personal artistic toolkit
Above all, the course invites you to slow down, look closely and enjoy the extraordinary variety and beauty of the natural world through drawing and paint.
