Who is this course for?

This course is designed for learners who have completed the 40 study hours Imperial after:hours French 1 (Beginners) course, or who have an equivalent level of proficiency (A1.1).

Course overview

This course is a continuation course focusing on practising, improving and reinforcing the basics of French — A1-level grammar, vocabulary, and fundamental structures.

During the course, you will also further develop your speaking, listening, and reading skills, with a particular emphasis on oral proficiency through interactive activities such as role-play, pair work and group exercises. The course aims to consolidate what you have learned and enhance your confidence in using basic French.

Building practical confidence in a supportive environment

In addition to conversation and grammar practice, this course will allow you to discover extensive vocabulary and expressions through a variety of materials. We use authentic texts, audio recordings and real-life scenarios to help you engage in conversation, improve your pronunciation and broaden your language skills.

The sessions are intended to be engaging, confidence-building, and inclusive, allowing you to develop language skills at your own pace.
