Who is this course for?
This one-term extension course is designed for people who have completed a two-term Japanese 4 (Lower Intermediate) course at Imperial, or those who have studied Japanese elsewhere between 150 and 200 hours (or equivalent).
Course overview
This course continues covering a broader range of grammar, expressions and vocabulary, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of modern Japanese language and society in both informal and formal settings. More Kanji will be introduced to expand the reading proficiency.
This course teaches to a set class text book, details of which will be given by the tutor.

• Summer Term: week beginning 27 April 2026 until week ending 3 July 2026
