Course content

If you’ve already taken your first steps in Spanish and would like to build a little more confidence before moving on, this friendly and supportive course is an ideal next stage. Designed for learners at A1 level, it offers the chance to consolidate what you already know while developing your listening and speaking skills in a relaxed, sociable atmosphere.

Together, we will focus on everyday situations that make language learning feel immediately useful and enjoyable. You will practise making plans with friends, arranging to meet, talking about leisure activities, and discussing travel and holidays. We will also begin to explore how to talk about past events, helping you move beyond the present and express yourself more fully in conversation.

Alongside this, we will strengthen your understanding of key grammar, including the present tense, common structures such as gustar, and an introduction to the past tenses (pretérito perfecto and pretérito indefinido). These elements are always taught through practical use, with plenty of opportunities to speak, listen and interact with others in the group.

This course is ideal for those who would like to revise, practise and gain confidence before progressing further in their Spanish learning.
