Course Overview

This course is designed for non-native English speakers aiming to improve their confidence and fluency in everyday spoken English. Each session focuses on practical speaking and listening activities, emphasising pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary development and the effective use of English in a range of everyday social and conversational contexts.


Required Previous Experience (if any)
Participants should have an English proficiency level of at least B2 (Cambridge First Certificate) or IELTS 5.5-6.5, or an equivalent understanding of spoken English.

None required.


Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, you will be better prepared to:

  • communicate with greater confidence, clarity and fluency in everyday spoken English;

  • use pronunciation, intonation, stress, vocabulary and everyday expressions more effectively;

  • understand and respond more naturally to spoken English in a range of social and conversational contexts.


Teaching and Learning Approach

The teaching and learning approach for this course combines tutor-led instruction, group activities, and independent study supported by individual guidance from the tutor. Classes are conducted face-to-face in a classroom setting and utilise diverse teaching methods, including presentations, multimedia resources, class discussions, and interactive activities.
