Who is this course for?

This is an adult education course open to everyone. The course is suitable for complete beginners or those with a very limited knowledge of Arabic.

Course overview

This course offers a structured introduction to the Arabic language for adult learners, with a focus on both spoken communication and reading skills. You will begin by learning to understand and speak basic Arabic, while also being introduced to the Arabic script, everyday vocabulary, and the fundamental principles of grammar.

From the outset, spoken Arabic is used to support the development of oral skills in practical contexts. The course places particular emphasis on enabling you to communicate effectively in a range of everyday situations.

In addition to speaking and listening, you will gradually build your reading and writing abilities. Basic elements of grammar are introduced throughout to help you understand the structure of the language and support further progression.

Textbook details will be provided in the first lesson.
