Course overview
This course aims to develop your language skills in all four key areas—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—with particular emphasis on the development of oral proficiency and cultural awareness. The course covers a variety of contemporary topics such as social trends, the environment, and the world of work.
In addition, we will look at key structures of German grammar, including tenses, sentence structure, the Passive, and prepositions. Video and audio resources will help improve listening skills.
The sessions are designed to be accessible and engaging, encouraging discussions and debates on the topics presented.
This course uses a textbook and other material to teach the course. Advice on which course textbook to buy will be given in the first class.
