Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at those who have completed German 4 (Intermediate) on the Imperial after:hours programme or have equivalent experience, such as A Level German. Ideally you should have reached level B1 on the Common European Framework for Languages.

Course overview

This course aims to further develop all four language skills and focuses on more advanced grammar structures and topic-specific vocabulary.

Particular attention will be given to enhancing communication skills by encouraging debate on a wide range of contemporary cultural and social issues.

The sessions are designed to encourage and support your development of fluency, accuracy and confidence in using German in both spoken and written forms.

This course uses a textbook and other material to teach the course. Advice on which course textbook to buy will be given in the first class.
