Digital technology is changing how we learn, work, communicate and share ideas. This practical course is for anyone who would like to feel more confident in understanding those changes and thinking creatively about how to respond to them.

Taught by Dr Tatiana Codreanu, the course introduces the idea of digital transformation in a clear and accessible way. You will explore how people and organisations are adapting to new digital tools, how good communication can help make change feel more manageable and how planning, reflection and careful analysis is used to support decisions.

Rather than focusing narrowly on business strategy, the course looks at digital change as a human and cultural question. How can we communicate well online? How can we choose the right tools for the right purpose? And how can we develop ideas, projects or messages that are thoughtful, effective and easy for others to understand?

The course is practical and interactive, with tutor presentations, discussion, role play and guided activities. You will also develop your own personal project during the course, bringing together what you have learned in a short final presentation in the last week.

Reading material or special equipment needed

We recommend bringing to class a laptop with a recent operating system, as the course includes hands-on work with AI tools and AI agents that may not be fully supported on tablets or iPads.

Class materials will be posted on Discord. Each week, we will also use Discord to discuss recent developments in AI.
