Who is this course for?

The course is for those who have completed Italian 1 on the Imperial after:hours programme or have equivalent experience of learning Italian.

Course overview

This course aims to extend and consolidate your Italian language skills to help you communicate in Italian with greater confidence.

Emphasis remains on speaking and listening to Italian, with the classes designed to the development of fluency, accuracy and confidence in Italian, but increasingly you will also be introduced to written Italian. Classes will include role-plays, discussions, and practical tasks, and you will also learn more about life and culture in Italian-speaking countries around the world.

By the end of the course our aim is to have you communicating at A1+ standard as described in the Common European Framework.

This course uses a textbook and other material to teach the course. Advice on which course textbook to buy will be given in the first class.
