Who is this course for?

The course is suitable for learners who have completed Italian 3 (Intermediate) on the Imperial after:hours programme or have experience equivalent to B1 on the Common European Framework for languages. Course overview

On this course the sessions are designed to challenge and support your development of fluency, accuracy, and confidence in using Italian. Although emphasis is on listening and speaking skills, increasingly skills in written Italian will be introduced and your understanding of complex grammatical structures will be reinforced.

The sessions are designed to be dynamic with interactive activities in the classroom, covering a wide range or scenarios and topics, with the tutor directing and moderating the content depending on the development of skills across the whole group. 

Once the course is confirmed to run, advice on which course textbook to buy (if any) will be given by the tutor before or in the first class.

•  Autumn Term: week beginning 13 October 2025 until week ending 12 December 2025

•  Spring Term: week beginning 5 January 2026 until week ending 20 March 2026
