Course overview
This introductory course is designed for adult learners with no prior knowledge of Russian. It offers a friendly and supportive introduction to the language, focusing on essential communication skills and an understanding of Russian culture.
You will begin by learning the Cyrillic alphabet and basic pronunciation rules, laying the groundwork for reading and speaking. As the course progresses, you will acquire essential vocabulary and everyday phrases that will enable you to manage simple interactions such as greetings, introductions, asking for directions, and ordering food.
Language learning is combined with cultural insight, helping you to understand the social customs, traditions and contexts in which Russian is spoken. Lessons are structured to develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a balanced way, with practical activities that support real-life communication.
