‌The level of tuition fees you are liable for is based on your fee status, which we assess based on government regulations. The criteria we use are listed at the UK Council for International Student Affairs UKCISA - international student advice and guidance - England: fee status

Continuing undergraduate and PhD students proceeding into the 2024-2025 academic year, need to submit their fee status questionnaire before 01 September 2024. New students are not eligible to apply for a fee assessment once your course has started. Undergraduate students can however apply before the next academic year starts. Applications must be submitted between 01 July 2024 and 01 September 2024. We do not back date fee status changes, any changes in fee status will be reflected in the proceeding academic year.

***Postgraduate taught students on one year programmes – It is not possible to amend your fee status once you have enrolled as a student. If you disagree with your fee status this should have been questioned at the Admissions stage. Any fee status appeals relating to the initial assessment must be submitted within one calendar month of the date on your offer letter, and before you have completed enrolment. Once you have enrolled on your programme and accepted the College’s terms and conditions of study you will not be able to retrospectively question your fee status.

Requesting a Change in Fee Status

Continuing students who have been classed as Overseas and who feel, based on UKCISA - international student advice and guidance - England: fee status that this is incorrect can ask to have this reviewed in the window of opportunity mentioned above. Please email a copy of the completed fee status questionnaire‌, together with any additional evidence, to the Student Records Team student.records@imperial.ac.uk.
