IGHI Co-Director Professor Darzi was asked by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to consider how technological advances could shape the future of healthcare in England by 2035.  This Future State Programme brought together a range of experts from diverse fields to produce an IGHI white paper and four short reports, which will feed into the NHS 10 Year Plan, as well as influencing global health policy. 

Report on the Future State of English Healthcare

The Future State Programme represents the most comprehensive examination of healthcare technology potential ever undertaken for the NHS. Extensive research, stakeholder consultation, and analysis was used to identify the technologies and approaches that will have the greatest impact on healthcare delivery by 2035.
