Amber Gorzynski I work on compiler testing in the Multicore Programming Group. I think compilers are programming languages are super nifty, and I love learning about them 🙂 Somewhat unusually, I do not have an extensive background in computing: my undergrad was in Econometrics, and I worked in industry for 6 years before realising that I just wanted to spend all day messing around with programming languages. It has been a bit of a lifestyle shock to return to student life. I am very happy to chat with anyone who is adjusting! I am from the UK and have been in London for around 10 years. Emmanuel Akinrintoyo I am Emmanuel, a second year PhD. I am fascinated about robotics and artificial intelligence. I lived in Ireland before moving to the UK two years ago. In my spare time, I follow football and politics. |

Miriam I am a final year PhD student and I work on Algorithmic Game Theory. I have a background in Economics and Computer Science. In my free time, I like to play badminton and squash, and listen to music from the late 70s to the 90s. Many of the insights you gain during your PhD are useful to know right from the start, so I’m happy to answer any questions that become more relevant as your PhD progresses! |
