Join Dr David McKinstry and Dr Michael Paraskos on a new classroom course exploring the history of British architecture from the Anglo-Saxon period until the present day.

On this course we will look at the architectural history of Britain, discovering the various styles of different buildings, how they relate to each other and to wider historical architectural, social and cultural movements in Britain and elsewhere.

We will also allow us to learn the language of architectural history and practice, giving us an opportunity to discover the astonishing developments in British architecture over a period of a thousand years in a way that will give you the knowledge, understanding and confidence to look at architecture in a new way when you visit historical sites for yourself.

There are ten classroom sessions, plus an optional additional session at the end to visit St Paul's Cathedral (charged separately).

No previous knowledge of art history, architecture or history is necessary.
