Course overview

This practical one-day course, led by acclaimed artist Marianne Walker, offers you the opportunity to explore drawing from the human figure using a variety of media, including pencil, charcoal, and ink. Working from a clothed model throughout the day, you will be guided through exercises designed to help you observe and capture the figure with accuracy, energy, and creativity.

Through a combination of short and sustained poses, you will develop your confidence in drawing the human form, while also experimenting with different approaches and techniques to generate creative ideas. The course encourages both careful observation and imaginative interpretation of the figure.

All levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners.

NB. This is not a nude life drawing course — the model will be clothed at all times.
