Who is this course for?

This course is designed for those who have completed Korean 1 (Beginners) Part 1, or equivalent level of proficiency (approximately 20 hours of study). If you are not sure if this is a suitable course for you, please contact us for a language level check.

Course overview

This course aims to build upon basic skills, enhancing students' ability to communicate more confidently in everyday situations. Emphasis will be placed on expanding vocabulary, understanding more complex grammatical structures, and deepening cultural awareness. Students will learn to speak and write using a broader range of vocabulary and idiomatic expressions  as well as deepen their understanding of Korean linguistic features and culture.

Alongside the Korean language you will also learn about Korean culture, looking at typical customs and aspects of Korean culture and history.

The programme is intended to be responsive to the ability and interests of the specific class and so the tutor will modify and curate the content depending on the development of skills across the whole group.

Advice on which course textbook to buy will be given in the first class.
