Who is this course for?

This course is for learners who have completed Korean 1 (Beginners) Parts 1 and 2 or have equivalent prior experience (approximately 40 hours of study). Basic knowledge of Hangul and simple sentence structures is required.

If you are unsure whether this course is suitable for you, please contact us for a free language level check.

This course continues to build on your existing knowledge of Korean, helping you develop greater confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in everyday contexts. You will expand your vocabulary, improve your grammatical accuracy, and practise using Korean in a wider range of practical situations.

Through guided exercises and conversation practice, you will strengthen your ability to take part in simple conversations, understand short written texts, and write basic sentences.

Alongside language learning, the course also explores aspects of Korean culture, customs and history, providing a deeper understanding of the cultural context in which the language is used.

The programme is designed to respond to the interests and progress of the class, allowing the tutor to adapt and shape the sessions according to the needs and development of the group.

This course uses a textbook and other material to teach the course. Advice on which course textbook to buy will be given in the first class.
