A day of talks and debates at Imperial College Business School on how health policy must adapt to today’s global challenges in public health and health care. Speakers will include two European Health Ministers (Italy’s Beatrice Lorenzin and Portugal’s Adalberto Campos) along with senior officials from International Organisations and leading academics. Join us at this unique event marking the launch of Imperial College London’s new Centre for Health Economics and Policy Innovation, aimed at stimulating discussion on new frontiers in health policy research and practice among scholars, policy-makers, civil society and business leaders. The conference will address the following three main themes (full agenda is available here):

 

  • Today’s challenges in health care innovation: how different countries perform in promoting the development and adoption of innovation.
  • New paradigms on the use of incentives to promote quality and efficiency in the delivery of health care.
  • Addressing global health challenges: new frontiers in public health research on environment, nutrition and infectious diseases.

 

The conference is primarily intended for an audience of policy makers in public and health care, academics, research funding organisations, senior executives from civil society and business organisations.
