This event is free and open to all. You’re welcome to register online, to get updates on what is going to be happening, or feel free to just turn up on the day.
There’ll be free hot food and drinks (subject to availability) as well as the chance to win some cool prizes!
It’s a Sports Day with a difference as Imperial College London join Queen’s Park Rangers FC at PlayFootball, Shepherd’s Bush to welcome families to a free, fun-filled festival of science and sport.
With a chance to explore new discoveries, test new sports technologies and have some fun with real footballers and scientists, this unique community event is fun for all the family, with opportunities to:
- Fly robots around our drone racing arena
- See the racing bikes and sports wheelchairs of the future
- Measure your fastest shot with QPR’s football speed gun
- Find out what is really in sugary sports drinks
- Test your boxing skills with robotic boxing gloves
- Test your lung power with our football chanting choir
- Take a ride on our water purifying bicycles
- Enjoy an afternoon of food, drink and music
As well as the main festival of science and sport, attendees will also be able to welcome those taking part in Tiger Feet 8 – a 13 mile charity walk from QPR’s Harlington training ground to our Community Day Fringe celebration at Play Football Shepherds Bush, in aid of QPR in the Community Trusts’ Tiger Cubs, QPR’s Down’s Syndrome football team.
So if you’re Sport-crazy or not there is plenty of fun to be had for everyone!
