CT is an established core technique in determining anatomical changes, in-vivo, associated with disease progression and therapeutic intervention. With recent advances CT can now be performed at high resolution and at greater speeds than previously possible. With increasing requirements for longitudinal imaging the new Quantum CT imager performs high resolution images in just 8 seconds which greatly reduced exposures (~10mGy). The Quantum CT system can be applied to in-vivo (high throughput) and ex-vivo (high resolution 4.5um) applications, as well as precise co-registration with other tomographic modalities (optical/PET/SPECT/MRI) and functional imaging.
