Abstract
Parasitic fungi are threatening amphibians worldwide, a crisis described as “one of the worst vertebrate infectious diseases ever recorded”. The fungal villain, known as ‘frog chytrid’ infects amphibian’s skin, with sometimes devastating consequences. Professor Matthew Fisher reports new findings into how to survive frog chytrid that will be vital for future conservation.
