From Professor Roger Venables, President of the City & Guilds College Association:
One of the highlights of the CGCA year is the Annual Dinner, this year to be held at Stationers’ Hall on Friday 20 March.Join us to reconnect with the Association’s roots in the City of London, and to look at developments in engineering and the College in the twenty first century. Full details can be found on our website here.
I am delighted to confirm our Principal Guests: Lord (Tony) Berkeley, who will propose the toast to the CGCA and engineering at Imperial, and Imperial’s new President, Professor Alice Gast, who will respond on behalf of the guests. Tony Berkeley is a passionate supporter of the right kind of infrastructure, has a focus on the social and community benefits of infrastructure, and is Executive Chairman of the Rail Freight Group, which has been working tirelessly to increase the amount of goods conveyed by rail since 1991.
Tickets for CGCA members are £100 each and include drinks on arrival, a three course meal with fine wines and a ‘night cap’ afterwards. To apply for tickets please go as soon as you can to our website for the booking form and send it in promptly.
I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
