We are delighted to invite alumni to a very special alumni reception in Palo Alto, hosted by Professor David Gann CBE (Vice President – Development and Innovation).
Join alumni, friends and the Imperial College Alumni Association of Northern California when we gather at the headquarters of a company whose innovations exemplify some of the most ground-breaking technological developments of the last 40 years: PARC, a Xerox company.
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, PARC provides the perfect setting for a dynamic exploration of innovation over drinks, canapés, and networking. We will cover the opportunities and challenges that data-driven innovation presents and the value of university-industry engagement. We will also explore what’s on the horizon for PARC and Imperial. This is a chance to hear about and actively shape Imperial’s innovation activities and capabilities: spanning incubation, commercialisation, and the bold vision for growth with the development of our new c.25-acre, $5 billion campus, and London’s new innovation district, Imperial West.
A world-leader in Innovation and Leadership, Professor Gann’s research focuses on innovation in the digital economy, new business models and innovation strategy in technology firms. He founded Imperial’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group, and is Chairman of the Smart London Board, reporting to Boris Johnson, Mayor of London.
