Paul Willmott leads the McKinsey Business Technology Office in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He works closely with CEOs, CIOs, and other business leaders to maximize the value delivered from IT. He also helps lead McKinsey’s work in advanced analytics.
Paul is an alumnus of Imperial College London where he read Physics between `86 to `89.
Paul will be speaking on the topic of Big Data, McKinsey’s work in advanced analytics and how as young professionals, we may want to position ourselves and lead our organisations to harness competitive trends in the Big Data world.
Prior to joining McKinsey in 1996, Paul worked as an IT architect and project manager at Accenture. A fellow of the British Computer Society, he is also a Chartered Information Technology Professional and a registered representative of the Financial Services Authority.
Recent examples of his client work include working with the CEO of a leading global insurer to identify growth opportunities arising from digital technology, including advanced analytics and helping the leadership team of a European bank to develop and execute a customer value management strategy, using big data to model customer buying behaviours.
