Abstract: Bacteriophages are beautifull model organisms and a major determinant for microbial ecosystems.
The talk will mostly discuss temperate phages, including mechanisms involved in their developmental decisions and how these decisions can be understood from strategies of economical bet hedging. Also the talk will brieffly discuss the virulent phage strategy, and the overall limitation that virulent phages impose on each others existence.
