Imperial College London’s Marketing Club presents an evening with Caroline Taylor, Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Citizenship – IBM UK & Ireland. Caroline will be speaking about ‘The Changing Role of the CMO – an IBM Point of View’. Here she will reveal the results that were acquired after face-to-face interviews with 1,734 CMOs spanning 19 industries and 64 countries. She will primarily highlight the need to respond to three new realities:
1. The empowered customer is now in control of the business relationship
2. Delivering customer value is paramount — and an organization’s behavior is as important as the products and services it provides
3. The pressure to be accountable to the business is not just a symptom of hard times, but a permanent shift that requires new approaches, tools and skills.
